Tatjana Smith is a global citizen but calls Nottingham her home. She grew up being trilingual, because her family are from Angola, lived in the Netherlands during her childhood and settled in the UK. This part of her upbringing has heightened her awareness of different cultures, norms and traditions. Which has helped her to integrate with the various communities she lived around and is part of.
Tatjana completed both her BA (Hon) Marketing Management and Msc Public Relations and Media Management from Manchester Metropolitan University Equality. Her favourite subjects were around corporate reputation and brand identity, which made her keen to help organisations and businesses to be inclusive of all people. As the Diversity and Inclusion Advisor for Race at the Nottingham Trent University, she is able to support the institution to progress their race equality agenda.
Being part of the Unity In The Community team, she hopes to support projects that unifies people who want to do the right thing and work towards a world that offers justice and kindness to all people.
